Welcome homemakers, grandparents, father, kids! Anyone in Washington County who likes to bake pies.
Contest Rules:
- Pies will be made from scratch.
- Whole pies (6 or 8 pieces) in a non-returnable dish.
Entries accepted at the Home Arts Building on Friday between 8:00 – 9:00 pm or Saturday from 4:00 – 5:00 pm.
Judging begins at 5:00 pm
Judging criteria: Taste, texture and appearance. Can fillings may be used but home-made fillings will receive extra points.
Pie Auction at 6:00
Auction of pies is open to all fair-goers! Proceeds will be used for upgrades (and potentially increased premiums for Home Arts Exhibitors) Bidders note: you will be purchasing a whole pie, less one piece!
Prizes Awarded: 1st – 5th place prizes will be awarded with special gifts from various businesses of “kitchen and cooking lovers.”
